JSC Avexima Participates in the International Military-Technical Forum «ARMY-2021»

JSC Avexima took part in the work of the International Military-Technical Forum «ARMY-2021» in the «Military Medicine» section.

The event brought together representatives of the Main Military Medical Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, specialized experts from central military medical organizations, research institutes of the Russian Defense Ministry, representatives of the medical service and military medical organizations of military districts.

A key session that garnered significant interest was the roundtable titled «Therapy of Viral Infections: Contemporary Challenges». The session was chaired by Konstantin Zhdanov, MD, PhD, Professor, who serves as the Chief Infectious Disease Specialist of the Russian Defense Ministry, holds the rank of Medical Service Colonel, and is a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).

Vladimir Zarubaev, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Leading Researcher at the St. Petersburg Pasteur Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, opened the round table with a presentation titled "Preclinical Studies of the Antiviral and Anti-Inflammatory Activity of Nobazit®.

Dmitry Lioznov, MD, PhD, Professor, Director of the A.A. Smorodintsev Research Institute of Influenza, continued the symposium with a scientific report «Results of a Comparative Clinical Study of the Antiviral Drug Nobazit® for Acute Respiratory Viral Infections: New Data».

The final presentation was a report by Konstantin Zhdanov on the topic «Nobazit®: New Clinical Data in the Treatment of COVID-19 in Hospitalized Patients with Moderate Disease».

Throughout the session, Russia's leading scientists highlighted the main challenges faced by military doctors in treating influenza, Acute Respiratory Viral Infections, COVID-19, and presented the results of clinical studies of the drug Nobazit® in the therapy of various viral respiratory tract infections.
